(Poughkeepsie, NY) The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to get in the spirit than with the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future. Back again by eternal popular demand, the celebrated Nebraska Theatre Caravan's enchanting production of A Christmas Carol is returning to the Bardavon. This elaborate stage production of the Charles Dickens classic will be presented for ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY on Sunday, December 6 at 3pm. For over thirty years the Nebraska Theatre Caravan has delighted audiences nationwide with this beautifully-Victorian holiday show. It is the timeless story of Ebeneezer Scrooge and how his life is changed by a trio of spirits - ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. The production brims with the songs and sights of an old-fashioned Christmas. The 19th Century English ambiance is enhanced by James Othuse's beautiful set, re-creating London of the 1880s, as well as beautifully-detailed, elegant period costumes. With special effects that include a spinning bed and snow, this entire production is a Christmas card come to life.
