Artistic Directors of the Ulster Ballet Company Scarlett Fiero and Quiedo Carbone

Since 1983, the festival has showcased both aspiring and professional dancers and choreographers with a diverse range of styles and techniques. This high quality, thoroughly original program will electrify and entertain community audiences and dance enthusiasts of all ages from all over the Hudson Valley. There are very few local productions of dance where you can experience phenomenal, first-rate dancing of so many different styles, in one night!

This year the 27th Annual Festival of Dance is extremely pleased to present the following dance companies: Ulster Ballet Company, Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company, The Jivadeers, Solas An Lae, Vassar Repertory Dance Theater, and Ballroom Dancing for Tough Guys. As part of the Festival’s commitment to providing professional level opportunities to qualifying student groups, we are pleased this year to present the Poughkeepsie High School step dancing team, Steppers with Class.

In addition, the Festival is honored to welcome our guest artists, Daniel Ulbricht and Erica Pereira, performing courtesy of the New York City Ballet. Mr. Ulbricht joined the company’s corps de ballet in 2001 and was promoted to principal dancer in 2007.
