Ballet Arts Studio, together with The Dutchess Ballet Company, proudly present Brilliant Jewels. From diamonds to sapphires to rubies, Ballet Arts students, as jewels, will be featured in dances to compositions by Bach, Satie, Tchaikovsky and more. The performance will highlight the classical and conservatory-level ballet training at Ballet Arts Studio by students from ages three to eighteen, and will be enjoyed by the entire family. The eclectic program will also include the Dutchess Ballet Company in the world premiere of a ballet by renowned Principal Danseur Michael Shannon, set to the music of Verdi. Mr. Shannon, who teaches master classes at Ballet Arts Studio and serves as Resident Choreographer for the Dutchess Ballet Company, was the first foreign-born principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet since its founding in 1776.
