30th Annual Gala

Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre performs ballet, jazz and modern repertoire in its 30th Annual Gala at the Bardavon Opera House. Program includes George Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, especially added for this anniversary season, as well as Take Off by Larry Keigwin and Whispers in the Dark by Edwaard Liang – both works newly created on the company. The program will include faculty and student pieces as well as the Dance of the Odalisques by Marius Petipa and a Bollywood style finale to the A.R. Rahman hit song Jai Ho from the movie Slum Dog Millionaire.

Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux was made possible by a generous gift from the Jeanne Periolat Czula Fund made possible by Jeffrey Paley and Valerie Ritter Paley '83.
