Strawberry Hill Fiddlers: Jamming for Scotland
with Jay Ungar and Molly Mason

Strawberry Hill Fiddlers are a group of fiddling teenagers from various high schools in and around Dutchess County, New York. Proceeds from this performance will support the Fiddlers’ upcoming UK tour in June - July 2012. The group performs traditional music from across the world, and are known to sing, dance, improvise, and solo throughout their shows. This concert will feature Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian, southern American old-time, bluegrass, Mariachi, and French Canadian fiddle tunes and songs.
Directed by Emily and Carole Schaad, the group has been evolving since 1999. The Fiddlers are part of Stringendo, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit community music school.

Special guests Jay Ungar and Molly Mason will join the fiddlers and present their own set of timeless American roots music.
