Matinees & Music: Tribute to the Big Bands

Our fall Big Band Tribute features the Poughkeepsie High School Jazz Ensemble performing live with the Tony Corbiscello Big Band.

For 15 years now, The Tony Corbiscello Big Band has been a creative outlet for new composers of jazz and swing music. In 1995, they started performing at small jazz clubs in and around New York City, and have earned a reputation of being a top contemporary big band. They’ve played at notable venues including The Supper Club, Carnegie Hall, and The Waldorf Astoria, and with greats such as Joni James, Rosemary Clooney, Jerry Vale, and Bucky Pizzarelli, Jr. – not to mention future greats from the Poughkeepsie High School Jazz Ensemble!
