Collaborating with Poughkeepsie Library’s Poughkeepsie Reads, the HVP performs compositions by David Amram on the 75th anniversary of Woody Guthrie’s American anthem—along with projections of historic Dust Bowl images set to Barber’s haunting Adagio. Plus Shostakovich 5th symphony; a decidedly Russian view.
