(Poughkeepsie, NY) – The Bardavon presents an encore broadcast in HD from the Garrick Theatre in London: Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company in The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare, Saturday February 6 at 1pm at the Bardavon Shakespeareʼs timeless tragicomedy of obsession and redemption is re-imagined in a new production co-directed by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, following their triumphant staging of Macbeth in Manchester and Manhattan. Judi Dench will play Paulina, Kenneth Branagh will play Leontes.
This is the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s first season working in collaboration with artistic associates, director Rob Ashford, designer Christopher Oram and the acclaimed actor-director Kenneth Branagh. The season is playing in the Garrick Theatre in London and broadcast to cinemas around the world.
Judi Dench has won several awards across film, television and theatre including six Olivier Awards, two Golden Globes an Academy Award and a Tony Award and was also nominated for an Oscar for her role in Philomena.
