HVP: The Immigrant Experience

The Immigrant Experience – Celebrating the novel Into the Beautiful North, which follows a young Mexican woman’s travels to the U.S. to recruit her own “Siete Magníficos,” we present three composers whose work reflects the Immigrant’s journey. And the work of one who steadfastly chose to remain in the U.S.S.R. Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea is the Poughkeepsie Library’s 2016 Big Read.

The audience is invited to a talk one hour prior to the performance with Conductor Randall Craig Fleischer.
