This December, the Catskill Ballet Theatre (CBT) presents its 41st annual production of The Nutcracker at the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC), with principal dancers from the Boston Ballet returning to the stage. Following the company’s 40th anniversary season, CBT returns to UPAC with the production that has become a fixture of the Hudson Valley’s holiday calendar — the same timeless story, magical sets, and gorgeous choreography that have drawn generations of families to the theater, danced by a cast that pairs internationally acclaimed guest artists with dancers from across the region.
Join us as we follow the enchanted adventures of young Clara from a lavish Christmas party, to a battle with an evil Queen Mouse, through a winter wonderland of snow and ice, and then to the magnificent Land of Sweets where she meets the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier with entertainment from delightful dances from around the world!
Performances will be held on Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, December 12 at 4:00 pm, and Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 pm.
