Ocean Blue is a breathtaking theatrical journey through the wonders of our planet’s oceans. When Charlie, a young crab longing for a different life, is suddenly swept into danger, he tumbles into the mysterious depths of “The Gully,” a deep-sea trench in the Atlantic Ocean. His unexpected plunge launches an unforgettable adventure across the Atlantic, Arctic, and Pacific Oceans, where he travels alongside migrating whales and sea turtles and encounters extraordinary marine life.
As Charlie learns to survive, adapt, and outsmart danger beneath the waves, he discovers that courage, kindness, and friendship can change the course of even the smallest creature’s life.
Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia brings this epic underwater world to life through spectacular puppetry, immersive design, dynamic digital projection, and captivating original music. Designed for children aged 5+ and their grown-ups, this one-hour experience celebrates marine ecosystems while sparking curiosity, imagination, and awe.
