Shanghai Circus- Amazing Acrobats have been entertaining audiences of all ages for over thirty years in the United States, including two six-week Broadway engagements.
Recognized as being one of the best acrobatic shows currently touring, the Shanghai Circus introduces young people to the magic of theatre and performances of the highest caliber by trained athletes, jugglers, aerialists and contortionists. The acrobatic acts found in the show have been preserved in their original form and can be traced all the way back to traditional performances at the annual harvest festivals in Shanghai over 2,500 years ago.
From the dangerous climbing chair stack high above the audience to the hoop-diving acrobats who take the stage with gravity defying feats of strength and balance, all performances illustrate the absolute thrill of the Chinese Circus and offer a refreshing alternative to the popular Western traditions. As the New York Times writes, “these acrobats provide feats of circus art that reach breathtaking heights of skill.” All these and more surprises complete a marvelous and totally exciting event for theatre going “youngsters” from nine to ninety-two.
INDIVIDUAL TICKET BUYERS: Please fill out the reservation form and you will get an email with instructions for payment All patrons regardless of age must purchase admission.
SCHOOLS: After filling out the reservation form an INVOICE/CONFIRMATION will be sent by email confirming your order – please adhere to the payment guidelines and due dates. Changes to the number reserved or cancellation must be made in writing 45 days prior to the event. Payment is due 30 days prior to the event. No refunds or exchanges will be made after the 30 day deadline. The teacher or individual making the reservation is the contact person and is responsible for assuring that payment is made by the deadline. Buses will unload and load in the front of the theater.

SNOW DATE POLICY: A performance will be cancelled if a closing or delay affects the MAJORITY of schools scheduled to attend the performance. All ticket-holders will be moved to the published snow date. Schools should make arrangements for published snow dates. If weather interferes, ticket-holders will be notified by email of any change we must make. Changes will also be posted on our website.
If a snow date is not scheduled and a performance is cancelled due to weather, we will first do our best to accommodate ticket-holders at another performance in the Daytime Series. If we are unable to accommodate because other performances are sold out, payment will be returned.
