One of Americas greatest stars, three time Tony and two time Grammy Award winner & member of the American Theater Hall of Fame, Patti LuPone is heading to the Bardavon to share her love affair with the stage. In Don’t Monkey with Broadway, Ms. LuPone explores — through indelible interpretations of classic Broadway show tunes by the likes of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Jule Styne, Stephen Schwartz, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin — how her life-long love affair with Broadway began and the unpredictability of the Great White Way!
Starting at 5:30pm Gala guests will enjoy a PRE-SHOW cocktail party with music, featuring a bountiful selection of signature canapés and show stopping hors d’oeuvres at Poughkeepsie’s newest events venue – Keepsake (inside & outside) at The Academy, just a 5 minute walk from the theatre.
Funds raised by the Bardavon Gala help underwrite many programs that cannot support themselves—education programs and school residencies that bring artists and musicians to local schools and much more.
